I worked so hard on this. The drawing, the coloring, everything was a lot more than I've tried to do in a long time, and I'm really proud of it. That is the most detail I have ever put into a background, and I'm pleased with the character design as well.

Name: Miara Tarbreather
Age: She has lost count
Race: Human, though with the traits of an elf (eternal youth, cannot die from natural causes)
Miara was once a priestess, and was one of the first of many to purify the trees of Sepica. However, she was also a skilled alchemist, and was curious of the arcane arts. After her pilgrimage ended, she sought after a way to harness the energy of the trees. In the end, she found the way to absorb the energy, but she never told anyone and put herself into seclusion. Her method cost the lives of hundreds of lives of animals, plants, hunmanoids, and humans alike. Though her experiments were successful and she gained eternal youth from the trees' energy, she knew that such a horrible secret could only be used for evil. Though her experiments were successful and she gained eternal life and youth from the tree's energy, she knew at the end of it all that such a power would be sought after only for evil. She realized, no one should be immortal. It is a horrific fate to live forever.
So, she burned all her research and any evidence that could be traced back to her findings. She now lives as a recluse, away from civilization in the wild. When she meets passers-by, she will help them and tend to them if need be and share her wisdom. Though she looks young, her true age is much, much older.

Edit: Changed her story. Didn't like the original so much. Though it doesn't matter now, considering I didn't win. Still, THIS CHARACTER IS MINE AND YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO USE IT.
